An old mate and Wests supporter has given me a truckload of old newspaper clippings and programs from the 1960s and 70s.
I have just spent the last 9 hours scanning most of the stories (some games we lost) and pics so I can share this wonderful blast from the past with you.
Thanks Magpie Mal for not chucking out this piece of Wests History.
If only you had spent as much time on your schoolwork as you did on sticking old newspaper stories into Ancol scrape books you could of have been a brain surgeon
Also thanks to Shawn and Andrew whos website helped me fill in the dates and scores. Their web address is www.rugbyleagueproject.org its a must for all Rugby League fans. Mal unfortunately did not date any of the newspaper stories so with the help of the boys website I was able to date the pics and stories.
Of course if I have made any stuff ups please let me know.
Please remember if you have any Old Wests stuff at home filling up space please let me know or email Wests Archives on westsarchives@hotmail.com or ring 97971933 and talk to the lovely people there.
