Who has the biggest.....

I received an email a few months ago about which Oval had the biggest Goal Posts.

                    Lidcombe Oval or Guildford Oval

Unfortunately I have misplaced (lost) that email so if the gentleman who sent it would like to get in touch again that would be great.

   After much research I have found written proof that

Liddy Oval wins the title of Biggest (highest) goal posts in the known World.

Just look at the size of that crane.....

This story was part of a match program from 1971.

Wests Sydney vs Wests Newcastle.

John Raper was Capt/Coach of Wests Newcastle.

A very sad day at Lidcombe Oval.

             Lidcombe Oval goal posts are 70 feet high.....

         Guildford Oval......60 feet high.....
