Ken Lock and I went to the Liverpool Regional Museum for a Rugby League display covering over a 100 years of Rugby League. The Magpie Archives had been invited to also display a sample of their Wests Memorabilia. The theme of the Wests memorabilia was the great footballers that came from the Liverpool area and played for Wests and New South Wales and Australia.
Unfortunately the guest of honor Bill Keato had broken a rib the night before and could not make it.

Some of the large display of Rugby League photos.
Not a Wests player but a good one.

A rare photo of Noel Kelly in a suit. Check out the price of the posters.
James McWhinnie from the Magpie Archives gave a very good talk on the history
of Rugby League in the Liverpool area.
It was a pity that almost everyone who said they would be there failed to show up.
They missed an exceptional lecture on the subject of Wests history.
This Fairfield A grade side had a host of future Wests players in it.
James and some of the very interested crowd .
Ken and James locked in a talk about the real old days.

In closing Ken and I would like to thank the people at the Magpie Archives for the invite and thanks also to the wonderful people at the Liverpool Regional Museum for their hospitality.
